Founder of “The 2043 Project” a newly established project with the main purpose of developing individuals and institutions to become #2043able. Ziad was previously the Chairman & CEO of ALZWAD for Economic Development Co. a company specialized in providing Telecom and Mobile Services. ALZWAD has worked very closely with several leading multinational companies like Vodafone, Etisalat, Huawei, etc.. ALZWAD also had investments in several Telecom, Media and Mobile startups in Egypt, Joran and the USA. With over 30 years of extensive experience in Business Development and Senior Management in the fields of IT, Fashion Retailing, Catering & Restaurants, Logistics & Transportation and Telecommunication. During these years he has founded and participated in the management of innovative concepts like Club Executive, a fashion retailing chain, L’escapade Café at the Cairo World Trade Center and Protech, an IBM business partner, later became NOKIA agent and member of RAYA holding.Managed a turnaround operation for Aramex Egypt. And finally, as a member of the senior executives team, actively participated in setting and implementing the policies and strategies that lead Vodafone Egypt to become one of the model companies in Egypt and the Middle East. He also Founded The Post Distribution Company – A wholly owned company by Egyptian National Post Authority and was its first Chief Executive Officer Ziad currently sits on the boards of Bedaya, and SME fund established by the Ministry of Investments in Egypt, FEP Capital another fund investing in accelerating Egyptian SMEs and Plantform Agri one of the fastest growing exporters of Agri Produce to the USA and Europe. Ziad was also a board member of the following Organizations: Egyptian Chamber of Information Technology The Egyptian Federation for Industries – SME Committee TEIC the Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Egypt.
